    Assembling Forks with Damping Adjusters

I'm assembling my forks finally and ran into something I'm unsure of but think I know the answer. If I assemble the upper into the lower with the damping rod in place and tighten per the procedures in Matchless' writeup, will the damping emulator be able to fall in place without a problem?

Also, shouldn't the damping rod extend all the way through the upper fork? EDIT: Never mind on this question as a test just proved I'm slow.

But, if someone could tell me about that damping adjuster I'd be grateful.

Should I also wait to put the emulators in until after I put the oil in?
