Rear shock Mod
Had this rear shock fabbed to fit my Honda VF1000R build I am doing and thought I would share. It is from a stock 05 CBR 600 with a replacement spring. Adds about 3/4 inch lift to the rear.

Those clevis legs look kind of spindly Joe. You sure they are strong enough? What material are they made from? 7075 or just 6061?Ed

Ed, I thought the same but the guy has sold a bunch with great reviews, it is more rigid than it appears. It is 7075

OMG, that looks like an air shock. I replaced the air shock on my GPz with a fully adjustable Gixxer unit that also has a remote reservoir. Huge difference in the handling and feel.

As far as the airshock is concern, air suspension was all the rage in the mid 1980's. I had a VF500 back then with air suspension, and even though that bike was softly sprung it handled great. Way beyond where I was capable of pushing it.Ed

Had issues with the remote res intruding into the battery box so I went another direction.
