Upsizing tires ?
My 550ef takes a 100/90-16 front , 110/90-18 rear . Has anyone gone maybe one size up 120/90/18 maybe ? The stock sizes are limited as to choices ThanksTags: None

You can probably get by with a 120, but I would not go any larger than that.

550 tires
Years ago, '95 I believe, SG Power mechanic fitted a 130 /18 on my '83 ES. He moved the rear brake brace over to make room. Eventually I made a custom brace to make it look like it belonged there. Metzler still makes this tire if I'm not mistaken. Been riding with this size tire on the back for so long that it makes no difference in handling to me.
