    82 gs1100e specs?

Alright, I'm searching for some specific specs for this model ( 1982 gs1100e ). Going to have some custom triples made to house a 02 Hayabusa front end to fit this frame. That way I can keep the geometry in check.

What I'm looking for is the offset of the steering stem axis (from fork legs to fork axis). The only number I can find from searching is 50mm but thats for an 1100 Katana. What is the stock offset?

I also need the Rake angle of the forks/ neck at stock setting

Im building this bike up from a frame and tank, nothing else. So, I have nothing that I can actually measure for this. Thank you

Do you think that info would be in the service manual? if so you'll find the service manual here.

I dont think the offset number is avaliable directly. I backed into based on the published trail numbers and using the formulas for Trail.

I worked through trying to compare the trail for various frame and fork combinations. I computed an offset of 2.09 (edit) inches for the GS1100ED which is same as EZ.

Other GSXR forks are computed based on those respective wheel fork parameters. There is also an adjustment for rear ride height.

PM me your email if you want the full spreadsheet.

Yep, that's what I was able to find in the manual posted. Rake angle and trail.

From your figure of 2.009" that translates to roughly 51mm for the steering axis

            I get 2.09 in x 25.4 mm/in=53.086mm (cell K7 I had a type-o before)

Thanks again posplayr. From the info I had on the Busa front end and the info in the spreadsheet, I was able to pick an offset that gets me close to the trail I like. And I'll fine tune it after everything is built.
