1981 GS 450S wheel and tire options

I'm creating a cafe bike out of a 450S. What wire wheels from previous GS models are a bolt on if any? I'd like to stick with teh 18" front and rear.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums!

You won't get 18" front/rear straight bolt on wire wheels from another model.

The front 19" of a T should go straight on, but to get the rear on I believe you need to make sure you get the wheel, sprocket carrier, drum brake, and torsion arm as I think the hub is a different size.

Measure before you do it though to be sure as I haven't actually done it myself and am going on what others have found out along the way...

Thanks for the info. maybe I'll just make the stock wheels look better with a little powder coat.

That'll certainly do the trick... I painted mine and they didn't turn out too bad, but powder coat is probably the better option.
