    Spring Rates for Progressive Shocks

The time is here for me to order new rear shocks for my 79 GS750E. I'm going to go with the Progressive shocks from Z1, but I'm not sure which spring rates would be best. I need the bike to be comfortable for two up riding, with a combined rider/passenger weight of ~450 lbs. I'm assuming my best choice will be between either the 125/170 or the 145/190. My riding pace is generally pretty relaxed when riding with a passenger (I don't like kidney punches for scaring the he!! out of my wife), When riding solo, I've been known to pick up the pace a bit, but my days of playing boy racer are pretty much gone. Any advice will be appreciated.

    Get the heavy duty springs.
Ride at the softest or 2-clicks solo.
2 or 3 clicks with passenger depending on how heavy the two of you are.
My passenger and myself are combined weight of 320-330 and the second setting is fine for all but spirited riding.
Then, we for to stage 3.
