78 GS750,different size front brake piston

Hi, After pulling apart my entire 78 GS750 and having it resprayed and ordering all the replacement parts, I've worked out one of the front brake pistons I ordered doesn't work because one caliper is from a 77 B model and the other one is from the 78 EC. So someone probably crashed the bike and replaced a damaged caliper with one from the previous model.

Not keen on getting another one after the respray, what's the worst that could happen riding with different size front brake pistons?

I personally don't know if there would be a huge difference but I'd rather not fool with something that controls my life. Do a search on here for the kawasaki twinpot upgrade by Salty Monk.
