Front MC dust boot
This might sound stupid, but, I have no idea why this dust boot is giving me such a hard time and I CANNOT for the life of me remove this thing! Is there a trick to getting this thing off? The top portion comes out of the groove easily enough, but the bottom simply will not come free. I have pulled, I have worked scribes and screwdrivers in there trying to pry it off, but nothing. No amount of pulling or working it will get the darn thing to move and I am just about at my wits end. I have checked the fiche to see if there is something I haven't seen, but it doesn't even show the boot as being part of the assembly. That in itself worries me, because if I knacker this boot up, I have about this much l_l of an idea of where to get another one. I've already dug through the archives and run the search function and no luck. HALP PLEASE!Tags: None

Oh lawd, if that's the case then I am lost. I can't get snap ring pliers down in the boot to remove the circlip without tearing the boot. I don't understand wt* a guy is supposed to do about it. The Clymers makes no mention of a boot, the fiche doesn't even show one exists (unless it's part of the whole piston/cup assembly) and I can find no info at all on this darn thing.

Of the three parts fiches for the '79 750,
this is the only one that even shows the dust boot: http://www.boulevardsuzuki.com/fiche...1977&fveh=2133

It does seem like there must be some trick to get the dust boot out but I couldn't find mention of one.
