    swingarm

How do I test my swingarm to make sure there is not too much play in it? I can't find much in my manuals. Also I can't quite understand directions in manual on how to adjust them. Anyone able to explain it alittle more clearly? Oh this is on the 80' 850. terrylee

When was the last time the bearings were even serviced on your swingarm? As for testing for play, put it up on your center stand, unbolt your s shocks from the swing arm and grab the tire and see if you can move it side to side. I doubt that really works, since the pivot bolt goes through spacers inside. As for adjusting a swing arm there really isn't any adjustments that I know besides taking it down and inspecting the bearings, spacers and races and the pivot bolt. Check the shock mounts as well.
