Fork tube sizes for GS400.. and other...

I search but did not find a definite answer.

Can someone tell me the fork tube size on GS400's?

I would also like to know if the fork tube size and the spread in the triple-trees is shared with other suzukis that has twin front brakes.

I just googled "gs400 fork seal" and found a bunch of links that show the tube size is 33mm. The search also shows that the Suzuki GN250 GS300 GT380 GS400 GS450 all share this same seal. Unfortunately, none of those bikes (in the US market) have dual disc brakes.

you might be able to get the 35mm rg 250 or gsx550 forks to fit, but theres some engineering to be done on the bottom bearing, also they have 16" wheels at the front.

If you're looking for a twin disc upgrade, I believe some of the bigger model GS front ends are a direct bolt on... I know the 550 front end is so if there's one of those with dual discs, you're all set!

No, the 550 has 35mm fork tubes, as does the 650 and 750.

Yes... but I believe the steerer tube is the same size, so the whole front end is a direct swap... there's a guy on here who has a 550 front end on a 450E.

It's one way I've kept in the back of my mind for changing to spokes with a 19" front wheel also...
