    Shinko 712 and Motorcycle SuperStore

Just thought I'd post an experience I had re: Shinko and MCSS. I bought a pr of Shinko 712 tires last Sept 12. It wasn't until 2 weeks ago that I determined the front tire was out of round. In a conversation I had with the Motorcycle Superstore sales rep, I mentioned why I was ordering a replacement and asked if they'd refund my $$ for the defective tire. The rep told me it had been too long since my purchase but gave me the email addy for Shinko HQ in Belgium(?). I emailed them and got a response within an hr from their USA rep notifying me that a rep from Motorcycle Superstore would contact me for more details. The next email I got asked for pics showing that the tire had barely been used and another pic showing a drill bit inserted in the tire proving I had destroyed the tire. It took less than a week from the 1st call to have a replacement tire on its way and my account credited for the defective tire.
I am impressed enough to spread the word that Shinko stands behind their tires.

Common sense has become so uncommon that I consider it a super power.

Maybe I need to do the same about a Shinko 230 I'm having trouble with. Thanks for the heads up.

83 Honda VT500FT Ascot (three of them)
    81 GS650G for the wife.
82 Suzuki GS850GL Bought it 3 times, sold it twice, then traded for a nice 82 GS1100G AND a 93 Honda 750 Nighthawk, even WOW!

One of the 230's I installed took quite a bit of weight to balance, and same thing on one of the dual purpose types. They seem more inconsistent than other tire brands I've used.
