1979 GS 1000E Fork Oil Capacities

Hey guys, I have my forks torn down but don't have my trusty Clymer manual to hand, could somebody please look up the specs to see how much (and what type) of fork oil should be going in each fork?

    Much appreciated,

    Thanks and take care,

    Eddy.

According to the factory manual, proper level is 140mm (5.51"), and the amount to use is 241ml (8.15 oz.) per leg.

As for which oil, most people use 5, 10, or 15 weight fork oil.
