Rear brake sticking. Is this rotor salvageable?

A simple yes or no should do it. I just want to know if I should start pinching pennies before I send it to the shop.

looks pretty badly worn. measure the thickness of the disc and see if it is under spec.

That rotor does not look too bad. the inner surface is somewhat gouged but I have seen far worse so my response would be its useable if its within thickness.

What "shop" you plan on sending it to?

A bike "shop" probably won't do anything but replace the disk.

A brake "shop" probably won't have the proper equipment to turn that rotor, it takes a different process than a car's rotor.

And, while you have it apart, you should rebuild the caliper and check the piston, to prevent the dragging problem that apparenly caused that wear.

The left side has a bunch of grooves in it. See all those black lines. They are probably 1-2mm deep.

I am unsure if the disk itself is too thin. I took a picture of it near the pads. I will go measure now.

I send my bike to a motorcycle shop called Empire Sales and Service in Orchard Park NY. It is an older guys shop (Lee), all he does is motorcycles. I am really worried about this friction. It is killing the gas mileage too.
