Fork fluid...amount?

    Fork fluid...amount?

    1980 GS1100E (square headlight model)
    Just rebuilt the forks but I cant find the amount of fluid (oz) that goes in each leg!
    Anyone know?
    Thanks in advance guys....
    (ps, the restoration is coming along real nice)

    What does your manual suggest?

    If you have the factory manual, it is on page 10-49.

    If you have BassCliff's pdf version of that manual, it's on page 231.

      Hi,

      Even more important than the amount is the fork oil level. There should be less than 1mm difference between the two forks.

          I'm restoring it for a customer, no manual, hence I'm asking on here!!!!!
          THX, I'll go to the dealers tomorrow, they'll be able to pull it up for me.

            Why not download the manual from BassCliff's site?

            I'm sure that this is what Steve is hinting at.
