Ok, so I know there is a thread around here somewhere on this but what years are the most direct replacement for the 83 gs1100e. I recall the 93 gsxr750 being pretty close but I cant remember, any help appreciated, thanks.

There are a number of options of front ends that will drop straight in with minimal mods. As indicated above, this is one of the best options due to the extra length of these forks over the 750 equivalents. The added bonus of the 1100 set-up is that the lock-stops don't require any mods.

Check out Katmans website for heaps of info. The katana frame is essentially the same as the gsx1100 when it comes to swing-arm and fork swaps.
