Simple Q: Diffrences between GS1100E and GS1100(G)L forks?

So just to be completely clear- what I am comparing is the E to the L, and the E to the GL. Mainly concerning myself with lengthening the forks on my GS1100E, and if there's a swap that will work.

1) Is the diameter of the fork tubes the same?
2) Are the fork tubes the same length?
3) Any difference in the trees?
4) Isn't one leading axle and the other not?
