GSX-R 1000 front end fit to 77 wire wheel?
Dose anyone have experience fitting a first generation wire rim to a late gen gsx-r inverted fork front end? If so what is needed to do this?

I would think you'd need the axle from the GSX-R, and whole lotta spacers.
Although I am no expert and haven't done it before. Do you know if the axle's are the same circumference?

The wire wheel axle diameter will be smaller for sure.
I believe it's 15 mm?
A good machine shop could fix that and also supply a special bushing to recover the lost diameter for the "nut" side of the axle.
Then come the brackets to fit the calipers
I like the idea and was planning to do so with a RSU GSXR 1100 G fork.sigpicJohn Kat
