    Need help identifying forks

I need help figuring out what forks I have. My race bike started life as a '79 gs1000s. Forks and swingarm have been changed to a gs1100 style, but I cant remember what the forks are off of. They have spring preload adjusters, And a 4 position dampner knob on the bottom of the leg. Fork legs are black, anti dive is silver. May be off of a 82 Kat as I cannibilized one of those too. Any help is appreciated.

You are not giving us much data but if the fork tubes are 37 mm in diameter and the wheel axle is in line with the fork tubes, I would venture it' a GSX 1100 EE/EFE/EFFor EFG fork.
In the US it's a GS 1100 with the 1135 engine.
The calipers that go with this fork have two opposed pistons if that helps

John, Sorry about the lack of info. The fork tube diameter is the same as a gs1000, the axel is under the fork leg. it is air assisted also. Also where is a good outlet for OEM parts. I would like to put in new bushings, seals ect when they are cleaned out. Which service manual is better, Haynes or Clymer? Thanks

These guys seem to be well thought of here:

Forks sound like the forks I have from an 83 GS1100E. I'd venture that Kat had the same set though I can't say for sure.
