All BS'ing aside...
There is no such thing as a GS wide wheel "kit". You will have to adapt on a wider wheel from a different bike.
Easiest upgrade (as mentioned) is a 3.5" wide GS1150 wheel. That will fit after working out details with spacers and the brake stay.
Some guys use GSXR wheels. You will have to modify more stuff though including adjustments to the chain line.
Lots of threads in the archives on these mods. Be warned though, it's a fair bit of work.Ed

Turbostang,
The 3.5'' GS1150 wheel you will never get a good compound tire for you need a 5.5'' rear wheel to get a good compound. A Shinko Stealth in a 180/55/17 ( $122.19 and free shipping) and your traction problems will be gone. Use a 92 gsxr 5.5'' and up or any Bandit 1200 rear wheel from 97 to 05 and it will be easy to install it uses the same size axel as you bike does now.
You already have the aftermarket swingarm on your bike.
All the negitive nillies just don't understand the need for more traction. Do you have plans on drag racing it? I know your close to Gainsville. Gainsville is one of, if not the best tracks I have raced at.Last edited by stetracer; 01-24-2013, 11:11 PM.My stable

If you try and go with say a 5.5 gsxr tirewith your setup as is you are going to run into issues with chain alignment, and Ground clearance. The tire and wheel you have on there right now is all that is keeping you from sitting on the ground. I can't say I have ever seen a performance radial tire in a 90 profile, Which is what you will need to keep the pipe off the ground with that setup. My stable
