    98+ GSX750F Wheel on a GS1100E Swingarm

I finally completed installing a GS1100E aluminum swingarm on my 1981 GS750E, along with reservoir shocks from a 1983 CB1100F. Next step is a wider rear wheel and tire.

I'd like to mount a Dunlop Sportmax Q2 but the smallest size I can find is a 160/60x17. I figure that requires a 4.5" rim.

I have a 94 GSX750F donor bike, complete with axle, adjusters, spacers, hub, etc., but the rear wheel is only 3.5" wide...

But the 1998+ GSX750F has a 4.5" rim. Has anyone successfully mounted a rim/tire like this on a GS1100E swingarm?

Plenty of people have... You'll probably need an offset sprocket, different bearings & a custom spacer set.
You'll also have to do something with the brakes, either a custom hanger for a stock caliper (if you have the rear exit brake line type & the larger of the rotors that fit that wheel then it should fit ok with a custom tie bar) or there are other ways incl welding to the bottom of the swingarm etc.
