    Bandit swing arm pivot spacer

when converting over to the bandit 1200 swingarm, is the stock bandit center spacer used?

Seems like it would rattle around a bit since it is a larger ID than the stock 1100e pivot bolt.

The width and OD of the bandit swing arm bearings are the same as the 1100e bearings.

I know Katman offers the top hat spacers for the conversion but for $125 for the pair I was considering the feasibility of using 1100e bearings since they are the same dimensions w other than the ID. and using a couple washers to compensate for the space between the arm and the frame.

Also the bearing spacers for the 1100 simply slide in where as the bandit spacers are like a top hat. If using the bandit center spacer is not an issue, the 1100 bearing spacers shouldn't shift too far since the center spacer abuts close enough to the bearing races.

Hopefully this wasn't so convoluted. Isleoman had posed this same question a while ago with no apparent answers so I thought I'd ask again.

    Thanks

    Nic

You will need a reducer bushing that will slide inside the stock Bandit pivot bushing, I got mine from Katman but I have my own made now.

Why not just drill the frame to except the larger swingarm pivot bolt and use all the Bandit bearings and top hat seems like a couple of spacers on each side to center the rear wheel with the front and relocate the top shock mount I mean weld a top shock mount to the rear frame cross bar and install a piviot arm to the center stand brackets and sitck a Gixxer 1000 shock or a nice Penske shock and match it up with the Bandit 5.5"x17" rear wheel?
Thats how I would do it.

Any good machine shop should be able to machine the top hat spacers. I had mine made for $20.00. Make sure he heat treats them too. Mine have been in use for 3 years with no signs of wear.
