Tires for 79 GS550L
For those with a GS550L, which brand/model of tires are you using? How do you like them? The bike I just picked up has some older tires on it and I'm looking to change them to be safeTags: None

Not that the model probably matters that much, but I have a 550L with S11's and they've been OK. I'd probably opt for something a bit stickier next time.

Greetings and Salutations!!
Hi Mr. abefroman,
Please don't ask about oil.
Tires are a very personal decision. You can get something that's really sticky but doesn't last long (performance), or something that lasts a long time but isn't very sticky (touring), or something in between. It depends on the riding you do and the conditions you do it in.
To add to the list that Mr. Nessism started, many high-performance street riders like the Pirelli Sport Demons. Myself, I'm a fan of the Bridgestone Spitfire S-11 tires for their "bang for your buck" value of decent sticky-ness and long life for less $$$.
