    79 GS1000 mag wheels, directional?

I'm mounting tires and they are directional, but I'm not seeing any arrows on the rim. And dummy me didn't mark what side is what when I took the front tire off. Anyway some sage advice would be appreciated.

the rear wheel is obvious, the front has the speedo drive on the left, as you are sat on the bike

"The speedo drive" would be the two notches near the axle.

Just in case you are not near the bike and it's not so obvious, the chain drive is on the left of the rear wheel, the brake disk is on the right.

No, you are smart enough to ask questions before you do something dumb.

yep, you wont get much drive if you use the rear disc rotor as a sprocket...
