    Bandit 5.5 rear wheel tire

I am going to purchase a tire for this wheel. It is going on my gs1000 with gs1100 swinger. I have read and have been told a 180/55/17 will fit but is tight. I was thinking a 170/60/17 would be a better size so i do not have to worry about width. From this chart it looks like a good candidate.

    Comments or opinions needed.

    Thanks,
    Daryl
1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017:D

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

probably not a bad idea. It will also give you a little extra ride height (0.11").

I stuck with 18" wheels and run the 170/60-18 on a 4.5x18" rear wheel.

I was also thinking that. I have the bandit front end so it should be close to stock ride height.

      Thanks for the reply
