The GS1000 top bearings match up but the bottoms do not:
GS750:
Top: 25 id 48 od 13 width
Bottom: 27 id 48 od 14 width
GS1000:
Top: 25 id 48 od 13 width
Bottom: 30 id 48 od 12 width
CBR954:
Top: 26 id 48 od 14 width
Bottom: 30 id 48 od 12 width
Maybe RC51 forks in 954 triples? RC51 seems to be a common swap for the 954 guys.Last edited by Guest; 04-23-2013, 02:37 PM.

I read an article a couple of years ago in a British magazine about a GS 750 with a GSXR G/H fork.
To me it should be a simple drop in for the GSXR 1100 K ( RSU) triples in the GS 750 frame ( except the lock stops of course) as I've used both types of forks on my GS 1000/1100's.
Else you can go for the USD GSXR forks with 954 triples as stated.sigpicJohn Kat

Unless it is a case of turning down the 954 stem and using GS sized bearings?
Would 2004/05 GSXR 600/750 forks fit? Here is some specs on them, the top and bottom triple spacing lines up I am just worried about the spacing between the forks as I could not find any info on the 954/929 triples (was told they are the same)

Use the search feature "titles only" and search words like your title "suspension conversion","front end swap" etc.. You will find lots good info.

So if I got 30x48x13 top 30x48x14 bottom bearings + an 04 gsxr 1000 front end, it would slot in?
Anyone happen to know if the stem is long enough for my 78 gs? The GSXR stem length is approx 260mm. Could not find any info online about the GS stem length.Last edited by Guest; 04-25-2013, 06:19 PM.

Sorry I may have posted a bit hastily as
I'm not sure if the stem lengths are exactly the same. I'm not familiar with the 78. I just want to let you know others have mounted 2004 and newer, like in this thread... A 2008 gsxr front end on a 1980 1000 frame.
be aware that the newer forks are shorter and can cause ground clearance issues and the handling can be effected changing the trail.
