exact fork oil amount 78 gs 750

Hey folks, haven't posted in a while.
Question, I have a severe fork oil leak. Seals were done last fall by a bike shop. Folks sat all winter while I was restoring the rest of the bike. Reassembled every thing, took it out for a 10km ride to get everything seated. The next morning a puddle of fork oil from the top of the right fork. cleaned it all up, took it for another short ride, the next day same thing, puddle of fork oil on the garage floor coming from the top of the right fork. Looked at the seals, the leaky one shows the seal up high against the retaining clip. The left side fork seal is lower than the retaining clip and not leaking at all. Any ideas?. I have since drained them both and would like to know the exact amount of oil to put in them. Maybe the bone heads put to much in? Thank you

    Choose the 8 valve manual....

I was gonna say around 7 OZ if I remember from the last fork seals I did on my 77..but best to refer to the manual as the best policy.

The amount of oil is totally irrelevant.

Set the oil level correctly as per the manual.

Fork oil level is measured with the springs out and the forks collapsed all the way.
