bolt on usd fork swap for 1978 gs 1000

Hi i was looking for some info on a set of usd forks that would be a direct swap for my 1978 gs 1000 , i have done some searching on the forum, but all the info i come up is for the later bikes i.e. the 1100 and 1150, if any one has any info for me or can direct me to a appropriate thread i would appericate it very much .
p.s. sorry to ask a question that has been beat to death but i guess my search skill kinda suck

The GS 1000 can use exactly the same forks as the GS 1100 or 1150.
The most common USD fork used comes from the GSXR 1100 L or M.
There is a beautifull example from jwhelan 65.
I've done one with an RSU fork from a GSXR 1100 K but the fit is exactly the same as for the USD forks

thanks, that gives me a idea of what i need to start looking for, i thought it might be the same as the 1100 and 1150 just wanted some confomation before i start buying parts.
