Does Irc still make GS-11 AW white lettered tires . 90/90-19 130/90-16 ?

I guess it's easier to say you guys suck than to ask why tkent02 thinks GS-11 AW's are prehistoricly designed tires. I guess we suck because we ride our bikes and want the best tire technology between ourselves and the road.

Checked around the internet and can't find any GS-11's with white lettering. The IRC website also makes no mention of white lettering GS-11, so my guess is they don't exist.

There's not a lot of tolerance for people that put bike appearance over function around here. Get a Harley if that's your focus.

Our bikes are mostly 30 year old technology. I'd wager to say we all value a certain "style" of which the appearance is a big part, over functionality... just to greater and lesser degrees. It appears Bearocco just crossed over the line that is allowed 'around here'.

Bear asks the question " are these tires still available?" The answer that Kent gave pretty much translates to : "Those are shiddy tires, astounding that you'd be misguided enough to consider buying them". Still can't see why someone might be put off by that?

Ever had your brother tell you to "shut up" or call you an idiot? Same thing going on here. People that show a true love for GS bikes won't be put off by gruff comments by the old guard around here. Bobber/chopper/hackers though are generally not very welcome, because we know those guys won't endure. They butcher some old bike and quickly loose interest. No tolerance for that type around here.

These bikes were quite a bit ahead of their time in the scheme of things and can be upgraded to be very nice machines. They will never equal today's bikes but they more than match most riders skills and are still a relevant motorcycle. What is more important, not every rider likes the cruiser or sport bike riding position and they fill a niche that is sparsely covered by today's market. I still ride in responsible mixed groups with high end sports bikes and have never been left behind (not that I couldn't be). I don't know if I would be comfortable doing that with '60-'70's tire technology. I'm not very politically correct so I don't give a rats azz what "died in the wool restorers think", and tkent02 does seem to be a crusty old fart, but he does know what he is talking about. Being thin skinned on the internet is just plain stupid. Not being face to face you have no idea how something is meant. Just pretend the person who gave you an answer you didn't particularly like is a Navy Seal who just had a bad day in front of your face. You can always have the decency to ask why of someone who you are asking a question of, in the first place, before you fly off the handle and condemn the whole group. Not meaning you specifically, but you get the idea.

This makes sense I can understand why not to use those tires. What would you suggest. Over reacted about the suck thing , I'm asking you for help , Good comeback with your tires suck. POINT TAKEN.

Poked at the bear in his cave. Shinko 230 Tour Master (Korean tires Japanese molds, half the price of Avon), Avon Roadrider AM26, the list goes on, this is just what I have used. Had a set of Metzler tires, didn't really like them. I'm sure others will chime in with their favorites. I don't know what bike you have, but it sounds like you might want to match front and back a little better. From personal experience with 100/90 and 130/90 my bike felt like it wanted to fall into the turn and the trail was over pronounced. This time with the Shinko tires I went one size over front and back, 110/90 and 130/90. The bike handles corners like it's on rails and is a lot more cofidence inspiring.
