    snowmobile shocks.

Have been trying to find some piggy back shocks for my 1100. None to be found on e-bay except snowmobile stuff. Any shock that is used would need re-valving and a new spring anyway. My question is, has anyone tried
a set of Fox snowmobile shocks, which seem to be more available?

You would be sorry. The leverage ratio on a sled shock is tripple of the those on a motorcycle. Way over sprung for a bike and the valving is way wrong for what a bike needs. Way back when, I bought a '33 dodge street rod that had a set of fox sled shocks under the rear as part of a 4 link setup. So stiff that I could jump on the rear bumper and the car wouldn't even move a 1/2 inch. Replaced them with a propper set of Aladans to get 4"of rear travel on a car that weighed over 3200 #.
