    81 Adjustable Shock ? GS1100E

Been waiting a while to buy a set of rear shocks for my 80 1100E. Have a set on the rear now that have only spring adjustment. Just found a set from an 81 that also have damping adjustment. Are these a good upgrade or should I just ride what I got till I buy some nice aftermarkets?

Those 81 shocks are 32 yeas old now. There are plenty of aftermarket shocks built for these bikes yet. Alot of us the Progressive rear shocks and order a set of springs that match our riding styles. As for the fork springs, the progressive rate springs are passe' now days and again many of us are switching to the straight rate fork springs like Sonic or Race-Tech.

Stuff I've done to my bike:dancing: 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

      Race Tech

Already have the Race Tech emulators up front as well as the street version of their springs. Thanks for the sense talk.
