    New Shocks Around $100-$125

Any recommendations for New Shocks around $100-$125? I've got an '81 GS650G. Thank you! My shocks are shot!

Save up more or buy used high quality shocks. Maybe used Works or Ohlins if you are lucky. The $100 ones are junk.

For $200 you can get Hagons, they are OK. At about $300 you can get good ones like Ikon or Progressive...

Suspension is the place where you really get what you pay for.

I have a set of Hagon Twin shocks and I find them to be far better than my Progressive 412's.

I want to buy some Hagons or YSS for my 650 but not in the budget right now, so I found a pair of shocks off a Sportster on Craigslist that the seller took off when the bike was almost new to lower it. I bought them for $25.
Will they last forever? no. Are they as good as new Hagons? no. Are they a HUGE improvement over my worn out original shocks? yes. Will they buy me some time untill I can save up for new ones? yes.
Buy the way the only thing I had to do to install them was to swap the bushings from the old shocks to the new ones. They press out very easily.
