    Caliper winter storage

Here is a question I couldn't find an answer for. I will be pulling the calipers and brake lines off the bike soon. The brake lines will go to Rennsport to get copied with new black SS lines. I was planning to clean and refurbish the calipers at the same time. Should I install the new rubber parts now or wait until spring? I think it might be better to leave the calipers completely clean and dry instead of introducing brake fluid to lube the new seals.

    Thanks.

Wait until you reassemble things. The rubber will deteriorate if not lubricated as you mention.

Good luck with your brake lines. Hopefully Raymond is in a better frame of mind these days and doesn't screw things up like he did for Gatekeeper and I this season.

I'd reassembly the calipers using brake fluid as a lubricant. Store in a dry warm area and you won't have any issues come spring.

What happened? Rennsport usually get good reviews.
