Larger tires
Can larger tires be fitted to the gs850 L? I would like to increase the tire size on the back if possible and the front. I like the look of both front and back tires being the same size or very close. Any input would be appreciated.Tags: None

stick with stock for best bike performance, but you can go up one size most times, double check your clearances...
I went one size up on my GS750E front and back, and find it to be OK

Recommended sizes on the 850L are 100/90-19 on the front and 130/90-16 on the rear.
It is possible to fit a 110 on the ront, but it will steer like a truck and might hit the fender.
Not sure if anybody offers a 140 for the rear, but it won't really fit, anyway.

What size is on there now? I think the L's came with 16" but all the others came with 17". I'm thinking of doing the same on mine.http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)

Not sure about the 450, 550 and 750 Ls, have not had to do much with them.

Ah, the ol "I want wider tires" thread. Standard posting for appearance focused newbies. Fortunately, folks around here know better than to give the OP too much rope. Call it tough love.Ed
