Bandit rear end, why not use larger pivot

Instead of using a machined spacer to use the smaller standard pivot bolt, why not expand the pivot bolt???????

Think for anything it to keep the frame original. You still need to have some spacers made to take up the space since the swingarm is narrower at the pivot.

because spacers are a lot easier than finding a mill large enough to hold the frame

Some members have drilled out the pivot holes with success, but precision is critical

When I installed my Bandit swing arm [B6] I used new bearing races from gs1000 and the center spacer from the 1000 also. The race out side diameter was the same on both bikes. The bearing it self is a little wider on the bandit but is the same inside as the 1000. saved from drilling and was able to use the original pivot bolt on the 1000
