Wire wheels for '78 GS1000
I want to put wire wheels on my 1978 GS1000 and replace the stock cast 'star' wheels. What options do I have and what wheels will interchange without too much modification?Tags: None

Easiest swap would be some GS1000 wire wheels. They have aluminum rims, unlike the 750 wire wheels with steel rims that some people mix up. Maybe post in the Parts Wanted forum.Ed
To measure is to know.

I wish I could think about trading for the cast wheels, but everybody seems to love those stock spokes, so I guess I'd better keep them.
What color are you using to powder coat the wheels?

Don't say can't, as anything is possible with time and effort, but, if you don't have time things get tougher and require more effort.
