    '82 1100e air fork

The original service manual (basscliff online) says to jack up the front before measuring fork air pressure, while Haynes just says to hook up the gauge with no mention of getting the front wheel off the ground.

    Two questions:

    1. I don't have a jack or a center stand (just a rear 'paddock' stand). Any way to get the front wheel off the ground?

    2. How much of a difference in indicated fork air psi do you think there would be measuring it without getting the front wheel off the ground?

Both Haynes and Suzuki agree that "standard pressure" is 7.11 psi and maximum is 35 psi.

Lets see a picture of that beast....

I just stopped putting air in. Didnt seem to make much difference. If you need to service the front end a small floor jack and a chunk of 2x6 works for me.

Most everyone has gone to using strong enough springs and no air. It just works better.
