    GSXR swingarm into GS1100E frame

I have an '81 GS1100E frame. I'd like to put an '07 GSXR swingarm into it. My specific question deals with the over sized pivot bolt for the GSXR swingarm and how to adapt the frame to accept it.

What are some of the mods you experts have to get this done?
    Thanks in advance for info.

i have a gsxr1100m swingarm on my GS1000. i found some swingarm bearings that fitted the 1100 arm but had the same ID as the stock GS swingarm pivot bolt. no frame mods required

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

What year gsxr swing arm do you need to get to be the right width for the gs1100e?

I used a 2006 GSXR 750 in mine. I had to grind out a bit from the inside of the frame/pivot area. I had to have bushings made to male up the difference in axle/bearing sizes. The bushings were 150.00!
