The only exception seems to be the line between the front MC and the brake hose joint. Does anyone know why this line is unique to this year/model?

The S bikes have low handlebars, so the line from the master to the splitter is shorter than most other GS's. There is a difference between the SN and ST master cylinder, so maybe the hose end angles are different between these two parts?Ed

Thanks...... I will pull the front upper line and measure the length and note the angles.
Apex will do all 4 lines for under a hundred bucks. A couple years ago I used the Goodrich line for the rear of another bike. Worked well but it was a very thin diameter line and looked a bit out of place. The Apex lines appear to have a similar diameter to OEM lines.

If you really wanted to get inventive you could use Earl's lines and place a rubber covering and the spring protector over the line. Not a perfect solution but it would look pretty good. If you bought the factory lower front lines you would only have to do this on two lines.Ed

I still think I will give Apex a shot.
