I know it's a threaded stud, that's quite large, but can't remember what size and thread pitch it is.

What size stud, 80 gs1000 final drive?
Looking to see if anyone knows what size the lower shock mount stud, on the final drive of an 80 gs1000.

it looks like a special part, rather than just a standard stud.
part #09108-10025, which is no longer available.
there may be a fix available, but not being a shafty expert i do not know.
saying that, if you look, you can still buy it. these guys in the UK have it on the shelf.....

The part that the shock eye goes on to is 12mm diameter, 1.25 pitch threads.
Not sure about the end that screws into the final drive casing. But there are lots of final drive units lying around, so if you post in "Parts Wanted" someone will probably be able to send you one.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.
