Rear disc brake on an 82 750T

I have a rear drum brake, and I was wondering if I can change it out to a disc? I'm thinking I would have to change the rear wheel to fit a disc, and I know I would need all of the associated parts, master cylinder and brake lines and such.
Is it possible, or even feasible? Has anyone done it?
Input will be appreciated.

I did the same thing on my 550. Swap everything, including the swing arm. Mine had the rear master cylinder mount there already, not sure if yours does.

I don't know why you would want to- I like having two independent brake options.
That rear brake is pretty damn reliable.

Maybe he doesn't like it cosmetically? It's gonna create a lot of work for OP but it will be worth it for him.

After I'm done with my current front brake job (yeah, I'm still working it), I'm going to tackle the rear drum brakes. Gotta clean up my chain too as well as removing all the gunk built-up under the center stand.

It looks like a T is supposed to look- not to mention safer.
By all means do as you wish. Redundant systems are a good thing.
Brakes are pretty straight forward- I have a brand new set of rear pads if you want them-
I'd tackle the bearing while you're in there.

I have the rear brake drum shoes...ordered them from the same place I ordered my front disc brake pads. I'll take a look at the bearings but since this bike is in decent condition (plus I have no issues with the rear wheel) I'll leave it as-is.

Not a problem guys. I like the disc brakes, most of the rear drum brakes I have had on bikes weren't very good. I could stand on the brake pedal on my vulcan and it wouldn't lock it or slow it down very well.
I knew it would be a lot of work, and I might do it down the road. just throwing ideas out there to see if it's feasible.
How much for the rear pads Badooka, or are they for GSXR7ED?

^^You can have dibbs on those brake shoes; I already have a set.

I've had no issues with my brakes...except for bleeding the new braided front line/MC. That's my little tasker atm and I'm dragging my feet on it.
