    Fork seals GS850

Had to replace a weeping fork seal on the bike last week, strange as the PO had informed me he had replaced them about 6 yrs ago, bear in mind it's covered less than 2K since they were fitted

Turns out I'm glad I needed to change it, previously I had tried to change the setting using the adjuster but it just felt wrong, like it did nothing when I tried to turn it, what I discovered when stripping them down the PO had put the top piston the wrong way round this caused the end of the adjuster to sit in a deep recess, no wonder it felt wrong, now reassembled and fitted back on the bike we have adjustable forks will see what difference it makes on the next outing.

I'm always a little sad that we here in the colonies were not entrusted with preload adjusters on our GS850 forks.
