    Help identifying wheels.

According to the previous owner my wheels are off of an older GS with spokes. I want to order new brake shoes for the rear but have no idea how to identify the drum to order the correct parts.

You need to post the bike you're talking about and a picture of your wheels with dimensions.

I'll get the dimensions when get home. The problem is I'm not 100% sure what bike the wheels came off of. They certainly aren't from a 1980 GS550 I believe they all had alloy wheels? The previous owner pretty much hacked my bike bike together. Mixed parts from all sorts of different Japanese bikes from the era.

Look inside the hub - there will be some kind of tolerance for the liner size. Something along the lines of "160.7mm max".

        It's a starting point......

There may even be a part number stamped in the wheel or the plate to which all the brake parts mount. Post those up if you see any.
