    Broken master cylinder

So I was putting on my new clubman handlebars today and stupidly over-tightened the top screw on the master cylinder. I stripped the female part not the screw. Any way to fix this without buying a whole new master cylinder. Also with theses new bars the master cylinder is angled to the right. This is making the fluid sit to the right of the hose, thus I am loosing pressure when I brake. Any way to fix this?

The cheap fix would be to put differant bars on.

      USD a thread insert.

Yea a thread insert would work as far as the stripped hole goes, however I'm still not sure what to do regarding the tilt of the MC. I'm thinking of buying a cylindrical MC as the fluid flows down the center as opposed to the left side. Thoughts?
