The reason I ask is I want to use a 17" rear GS wheel on the front with different forks and caliper using a 320mm rotor. I want to look for a 320mm rotor that would fit the stock rear wheel or figure out an adapter/spacer to fit the Ducati 320mm rotor I already have. I'm just hoping to get the measurements before I buy so I can work out all the details in my head to be sure I can make it work before spending the cash on a rear wheel. Thanks.

GS850 rear disc carrier hole size and bolt pcd????
So on the 1980 GS850G rear wheel it has a 6 bolt disc bolt pattern. Does anyone know what the bolt pcd and center hole size is? It looks allot like the GS front disc but I was not sure if it were the same or not. I know the front is something like 56mm center with 6x78mm pcd.

Steve, Steve Steve, don't you remember that Google is your friend. Glad to be of help.
Post Concert Depression After the sudden increase of adrenaline one experiences during a concert, many people feel depressed and empty afterwards and constantly feel the urge to cry. PCD often lasts roughly 3 days after a show but can potentially linger for weeks.

I guess I am just too "old-school" for most of this crowd. Rather than assum that everybody knows all those TLAs, or might even be willing to look them up, why not just spell it out? Just seems to be a LOT more efficient in the long run.
On the other hand, simple spelling and grammar useage helps too, but I have given up on that.

PCD "Pitch Circle Diameter" That is the term all the disc rotor specifications are listed as. I would call it BCD for bolt circle diameter. That is why I gave the example of the front disc on the GS bikes 6 bolt x 78mm PCD or bolt circle diameter. I am after the dimension for the diameter of the hole in the rotor or the shoulder on the rear wheel that the rotor fits around. Also the bolt circle diameter 6x??. This is for the small disc bolt pattern 17" rear wheel as found on the 1980 GS850g and others.
I do apologize. I did try to be as clear as I could. Believe it or not I've been given a hard time in the other direction as well. Had I called it the bolt circle diameter I'm sure someone would have jumped all over me to inform that what I was looking is referred to as "pitch circle bla bla bla. Now that that is all out of the way.... I do my best with grammar and spelling, however written word has never been my strong suit. Now if anyone has the answer to my riddle it would help me tremendously. Thank You all for you help.Last edited by Guest; 08-06-2014, 12:12 AM.

looks like I am going to use a 550 e 17" rear wheel on the front and a 850g shaft on the rear of my 1000L. Going to put Ducati Forks on it because I have them. Then run single disc 320mm brembo 4 pot caliper. Should be interesting. Will post pics months from now when I get all parts and assemble.
