fork swap options
81 gs 850g cafe build. Wanna swap out front end with something little better handling. Ive heard you can use early gsxr600 front ends. Is this true? Rear end kinda limited being its a shaftie but where theres a will.Tags: None

Considering the size and weight of that bike and the inability to swap in a wide 17" rear wheel to run radials I would suggest sorting the OEM forks instead with proper springs, cartridge emulators, fork brace and bigger brakes and then adding a new set of quality tires front and rear. Properly set up the original forks work pretty well for anything short of hard track riding. Don't forget you will want to install a new set of quality shocks on the back to complement your rebuilt front end.
