First Gen 750E foot peg lowering methods
I'm 6'4" and come from a dual sport background. Getting my '78 GS750E back on the road and it just doesn't have enough leg room for me. It's the old "monkey humping a football" effect. On my KLR I installed lowering brackets and had a custom, much taller seat made for it. Can anyone direct me to a post or show me how they changed the position of the pegs to allow more leg room. I found a few posts regarding rearsets but I don't want that laying over the tank riding position. I've got a Windjammer and want a touring riding stance. Thanks in advance...

No joy at Wild Hair, oldest bike listed similiar to mine is a '85 Gixxer. I have an extra set of stock pegs so it looks like I'll have to cut and paste something up myself. I was looking for some inspiration. I'll definitely be adding a folding feature, a lot of likely prospects on ebay. Thinking of cutting off the solid peg in the right spot (to be determined) and using gussetted flat stock and channel to move a folding peg down and slightly back some. I'll be bribing my welder friend with Sapporo beer.
