Dust Caps with Fork Brace?

Hi Gents,
I am installing a fork brace at the moment, this particular brace attaches to the same spot as the dust covers. There is no space to squeeze the covers in.
Im just wondering what most people do when they install a brace to keep the dust out?

On he different braces I've had over the years, the dust boots all fit over the top of the fork brace once it was in place.

A picture or two of what you have would help.

Do the dust covers not install on top of the brace? My Tarozzi does.

The top of the brace is flat, nowhere to attach the cover too?

What brand fork brace is it? The ATK, Tarozzi, and Daytona designs all allow for dust cap installation.

I don't have a picture of a Daytona fork brace, the bike I had that had one of those was sold long ago.

I dont know what brand it is, i bought it off ebay ages ago and it has no branding on it other than GSX written on the bottom.
Its a cast alloy in one piece, ill do some googling to find something similar.

could be a home made one. The old favourites like Micron and Telefix were all split and had provisions to fit the dust boots on the tops. A one piece brace sounds even more dangerous to me than the Telefix's were (are)

Its not the same as this, but the fitting area and shape is similar with the flat top and no where to attach caps.
If these styles are "dangerous" or not good, i will just look around for something else maybe?

Does yours have the ability to fine tune its fit? I like the Telefix for that reason.

No, not really Rudeman. It is one piece with an allen bolt to tighten it onto each fork leg.

That is one slopply bit of CNC milling...

Anyway, One piece braces don't take into account for the variations in the spacing of the fork tubes between mfg. tolerances of the triple clamps and the wheel/axle/spacers. A badly fitting one piece brace that can't be adjusted can bend or pinch the forks together causing binding. The telescoping fork will stop telescoping.

If the above is what you have, it may have been "designed" for a choppa'/bobba' that didn't account for a front fender. Or they simply didn't GAS. Between all the Chinese crap and the finger-paint-by-numbers CAD/CAM software, there is a lot of the later out there these days.
