safe tire size?

i ride a 82 750t, im replacing the tires, right now it has a 110/90/19 on the front and 120/90/17 on the rear, i think the rear is same size as original, i know the front is bigger than the original size but i want to keep like that. i like the look and feel but i cant find a maching set in those sizes. question is if i geta 130/90 for the rear am i gonne run into any safety issues

A 130/90-17 will be perfectly fine.

A 110 is overly wide for the front rim. It's not unsafe, but not optimal either.

I have 110/90-19's on several of my bikes and prefer them. Please don't take advice from persons that have probably not actually tried them themselves and rely on hearsay. Sheech!

OK, I won't listen to hearsay.

I, personally, with my own hard-earned cash, tried two 110/90-19 tires on the front of my GS850G and I didn't like them at all. The proper 100/90-19 handles much better -- quicker steering, but also much more neutral and consistent.

But if you prefer a 110, that's your business. Ride happy, whatever that means to you. It's not going to make anyone crash or anything.


Anyway, to the OP: the 130/90-17 will work just fine on the rear, and it's definitely a lot easier to find than a 120.
