fork spring orientation GS1100EX?
Can someone tell me the orientation of these fork springs? They have one end wound tighter then the other and I don't know which end goes up or whether it matters? Also, considering that they are wound tighter at one end I was wondering if perhaps they are Progressive springs rather than stock?

Spring is a dumb thing, uncaring which end gets compressed first, because both ends see the imposed loading anyway simultaneously.
I'd keep them the same way around though (ie, matched to each other), just in case of dynamic differences at differing compressive stages might cause a brown trouser moment, or at least not feel right.---- Dave
