swingarm bearings
Anyone know where to get aftermarket swingarm bearings? OEM looks pretty pricey. I think I need 17mm x 40mm x 15.25mm.

Pull one of the bearings, read the numbers/letters on it and call Motion Industries, KAMAN Industries, NAPA, O'Reilly's, Amazon.Com, etc. and get a pair of replacements for MUCH less.

Just curious -- why are you replacing them?
These tapered bearings are mega-overkill in this application (shaftie swingarms), and will pretty much last forever.
The exception, of course, would be if the bike was stored in a swamp or something and they got corroded.Last edited by bwringer; 01-16-2015, 09:28 PM.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

Having said that, next time I check them I might find the oldest ones are worn past adjustment, but they've have 250K to get there, and I might get the chance to fit the spare set I bought 20 years ago in the expectation that I'd need them at some point.---- Dave
